Odd thing about patron saints not coming from the lands they represent. St Patrick was born in England and captured by Irish pirates. St Andrew was born in Galilee and never set foot in Scotland. This is incorrect. Denis was Bishop of Paris (before it was Paris). Andrew did go to Scotland (allegedly), albeit as relics long after his death.

No it's correct. Denis was bishop of Paris and is a patron saint of France. He was born in Italy and travelled from Rome to Gaul, where he was apparently beheaded by the Romans in their persecution of Christians. Could probably have saved the bother of travelling all that way and been beheaded back in Rome!
