GONE: U-Boat Classico 45 AB2

Postby Jay on Mon Jan 19, 2009 9:23 pm

Reluctantly doing this and having second thoughts as i type but up for sale is one of my pride and joys, my U-Boat Classico 45 AB2. 45mm PVD case with 2824 movement.

It is a superb watch in mint condition as it has been worn very sparingly. There are no marks to the crystal (front or back), no scratches/dents/dings to the case or lugs. There is a tiny hairline mark a couple of mm across on the case back (not the display) which is very difficult to see and I can’t manage to capture on a photo.

It comes with it’s original black calf leather strap with Uboat deployment which like the watch has hardly been used. It also comes with a brand new unused additional OEM Uboat tan strap and deployment I bought specifically for the watch. The Toshi in the pictures is not included.

It comes with it’s unmarked outer cardboard box, black leather inner box, manual and stamped warranty card with about 16 months of warranty remaining. It was purchased by me brand new from an authorised AD and I have the receipt somewhere and will obviously include if I can find it.

Now for sale or trade at £850 inc RMSD. Bank transfer preferred and no paypal please.

Thanks for looking,

Jay.

Anyone have knowledge of how these wear against a Panerai? I'm keen to PVD a Pammy but it's an expensive gamble if i don't like it.
With a 1mm bigger case this should be similar, but the crown worries me as i wear on the right :?

Been as the crown is on the left of the watch case you should have no problems!!

I wear a watch on the left and the crown on my sub is on the right of the case so this on the right wrist with crown on the left is correct.

Indeed convention has it that the crown on the U Boat is correct for the right wrist but the crown itself is hardly conventional :D though i am getting more tempted.

Just took it out of it's box it and tried it on the right hand wrist and it feels as good as it does on the left :D

IMHO the crown guard is a fantastic part of the watch and it certainly wouldn't be half the watch it is without it.

Bump and a reduction.

Would also consider trades, equal or down. I like divers watches, Sinns, PRS20, don't know what I want so try me!
