Omega Seamaster 300 cal. 552, 165.024. The watch is in NEW condition with extensive work just recently performed by Omega. All parts were original Omega parts. I am very excited and will go on record as stating that I will NOT flip THIS watch.

If there are others with one similar, please post a scan. I would enjoy seeing!

So did you flip the Tudor and SeMP for the 300? It looks like a real fine example wear it in good health.

Hi Ron,
The Tudor was not in the condition I had hoped for so the seller accepted it back. Good guy. I have the SMP in blue and nbow this. Essentially, I went from a Rolex Sub to these two Omega's and about $500 in my pocket.
I love the SMP. Here's a few scans...

Thank you Eddie. Sheez, any "real" watch guy would have offered an hommage to this Omega then. I really like that Precista. Have you posted what the bracelet will look like yet?

Cheers,
Todd

Thank you Doug! Probably the first watch ever that I already know I will be keeping for a long, long time.

Jon and Clay,
Gorgeous pieces! Did either of you have the work done or did you buy your watch in NOS condition? Clay... your photography skills are just amazing. I need to learn how to take shots like that!!!

Finally got a photo of my "good" SM300, so nows a good a time to post it as any. Lots of wabi, but all genuine. Got the original bracelet somewhere in storage, but I like it on the Bund strap. One day I'll either send in my "bad" SM300 to be refurbished, or get my hands on a NOS watchco SM300, but until then th is will have to serve.

Thanks Todd! I got my SM300 from Jack Alexyon. He had recently restored it, I think for himself.

Must admit I was quite tempted by that particular example when I saw it recently, as it really did look the business.

But then I put my PRS-14 back on and .. wait, what were we talking about ?

I thought for a minute you were going to say PloProf

Postby Rob (NZ) on Sat Aug 27, 2005 9:48 am

fuck me that second pic looks good

can't believe those softcocks at omega don't re-release this model, instead of all that gay shite with the helium release wart at 10 o'clock

even if they made a limited edition of 9999, it would be gone in a couple of months, surely

great thing with this bracelet is the small links and the micro-adjustment in the clasp. noisy bastard though, but i suppose you can live with it as it looks so good

how much did they charge you for the restoration?
